Review of Winnie the Pooh (2011) by Brayden F — 16 Aug 2011
This film is pure adorable Pooh. It doesn't have a big moral of the story you might expect from such a light hearted tale especially considering the short film before it has one.
All your favourite characters are back and on what turns out to be, one heck of an adventure.
There are a lot of moments which young children will not understand completely but they should easily be entertained by the simple minded Pooh and friends. Parents will be happy to see learning incorporated into the film as well as the fact that some jokes are more directed towards an older audience.
In fact, some of the best jokes and references in the film all pertain to previous incarnations.
The worst thing about this movie is the new music. None of it had the beauty and innocence of the originals. There were a couple new songs that were good but most of them just didn't fly with me and actually made the film less enjoyable when they were on.
If you like your films adorable and cute... this Pooh is for you.
