In a world where CGI has become the most commonly used form of animation, it is a refreshing breather to be able to watch a traditionally hand-drawn movie. In my eyes, Disney has not made a true "Disney" film in a while. Luckily, Princess and the Frog and their most recent film, Winnie the Pooh, has convinced me otherwise.

Winnie the Pooh is a heartwarming and adorable film featuring one of the most cherished cartoons in history. The film is entirely hand-drawn which makes for an amazingly detailed and very simplistic movie experience, especially when it is in the hands of Disney. The visuals are cute and cuddly like every Pooh movie has become synonymous with. Overall, the film gets a perfect score when it comes to the majestic hand-drawn visuals Winnie the Pooh has to offer.

The story isn't complex or hard to follow, instead, the film has a very simple story about Pooh and his friends desperately trying to find their dear Christopher Robin after his "kidnapping" by the "Backson". The movie is very short but makes up for it with a cute story and awe-inspiring visuals. When I first saw the movie, I couldn't help but giggle at the antics Pooh and his friends kept getting themselves into.

The film is devoid of any over-the-top action scenes, in fact, the entire climax of the movie takes place within a hole, but that is completely fine. Pooh isn't known for his deep story, he is know for being able to offer 70 minutes of adorable and hilarious comedy.

Overall, Winnie the Pooh isn't as amazing as Lion King or as epic as Lilo and Stitch. It isn't as groundbreaking as earlier Disney classics, but it does contain a certain unique charm that no other movie can mimic. Pooh and friends have made a fine comeback and hopefully this will inspire Disney to make much more hand-drawn films in the near future. I suggest to sit down, relax and just enjoy this great film for what it is...a sweet, entertaining pot of honey. 9/10.
