Review of Wings of Desire (1987) by Shoo Wen L — 30 May 2008
Visually and emotionally and artistically devastating - in the most beautiful of ways. Wenders makes us look in the mirror at our arrogance of taking for granted our flesh-oriented view of life. Remains one of my top films of all time.
The use of space, silence, and *gasp* somewhat older, seasoned, brilliant actors makes it all the more appealing. Plus...Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are in it!
