Review of Wings of Desire (1987) by Niiles P — 27 Jul 2010
This is a meditative film which still manages to open the deep emotions through its visions of desperated people in Cold-war Berlin. I love the way how the camera moves slightly slow in the set, and how sepia and other colors is been used to distinguish wheather the character is alive or not.
And what is the most important, the sensitive love-story which makes the leading character eager, even cheerful, when he tastes his own blood. What if you could... sense but not touch the dearest to you? hear the other people's thoughts? enjoy coming to a live? What if your life is nothing but a dream?
