Review of Wings of Desire (1987) by Hesham A — 26 Oct 2010
I'll start with my main complaint, which I probably absorbed by spousemosis, which is that the film could probably have ended when the angel wakes up human and lost none of its meaning or impact.
Otherwise, this is a poignant and well-crafted story/film with some interesting shots and such (trying to break up the actual-review quality of this). There was a scene whose music and zooming-around-a-city reminded some of a bit in Waking Life. Am I influenced by the fact that the positive reviews are all beautiful, masterpiece, etc. and the negative reviews are all tl;dw? possibly. But still.
