Strip away the post-human angle on Freddie Prinze Jr.'s genetically inherited skillz and you've got yourself a generic WWII military actioner... IN SPACE. Prinze Jr. wins a Lucas Black award for most laughable facial expressions.
In every scene, he looks so scared and out of his element, you have to feel bad for him.
