Review of Wine for the Confused (2004) by Angela O — 15 Mar 2008
Informative and funny, John Cleese does a very good job of explaining the basics of wine without making it snobbish. What is most appealing is the way he is able to keep the viewer feeling like a normal person and not being spoken down to.
Additionally, his characteristic humor keeps what could otherwise be a rather dull subject interesting to the last moment. Be sure to watch the Extras (all of them): they provide information just as relevant, if not more relevant than the actual program itself.
