Review of Wind River (2017) by T J — 26 Apr 2018
This film attempts a real compassion for the victims of one kind of violence (against native American women) and yet a completely throw-away, cheap Hollywood-thrills attitude to all other kinds. A bunch of county cops are shot dead in a shoot out with plant workers, and this film has precisely nothing to say about that.
It's never referred to again after the fact, undermining the entire premise.
