Review of Wind River (2017) by Liam H — 31 Jan 2018

This movie is original, unique and well written which you don't often get to see from Hollywood. Both Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen give good performances in this movie. I especially liked Elizabeth Olsen's performance.

There are a bunch of side characters in this movie who are all interesting and well fleshed out. I think the culture of the area and the circumstances of life in Colorado are all captured and showcased well.

There is also excitement in this movie by way of gun shoot out's. These are all portrayed more realistically than we are used to from Hollywood. All of these things together make for a very good and unique movie.

However the subject matter is inherently depressing and dark and for that reason it would be unlikely I would ever watch this movie again.
