Review of Wind River (2017) by Tom G — 20 Oct 2017
I do not understand how this movie could possibly have more than 1 star rating. It is the worst movie I have seen all year. From Jeremy Renner's character being about as interesting as a dead bug to the totally uneven female lead (one minute shes pissed about the coroner not going her way to being calm to the point of oblivious when the bad guys tip their hand. Ugh. For those of you from sunnier climates running in the winter does not freeze your lungs, We northerners do not erupt in blood if we go jogging in -10 weather.
Even more hilarity when JR is using his rifle to take the bad guys down. That gun, a lever action 30-30 is for short short range shooting and has a tiny cartridge, yet the bad guys fly across a trailer and bounce off the back wall? It's like it turned into a cannon.
The supposed indian brother has a five o clock shadow and is not indian and the dad's "death mask" looks like braveheart. I actually expected him to say "they canna take rrrrr freedom".
If you do see this movie see if you do not agree.
What a joke.
