Review of Wind River (2017) by Ryan_Goz — 05 Aug 2017
Wind River has moments and scenes containing good suspense and tension throughout the film particularly in the latter half and offers good performances to keep the audience invested in some of the characters however overall the film is far from great and doesn't have too much to offer to the genre and has little to nothing that makes it standout in terms of directing, cinematography or overall story.
This is a decent attempt at a directoral debut and id recommend the film to people who are interested in the genre but overall I found the films pace to be quite slow, the acting to be quite standard, the directing quite serviceable and I believe the film could have benefited from a more talented cinematographer given the setting of the film was well established but poorly presented.
