Review of Wind River (2017) by Jnotr — 30 Oct 2017
Much better than I thought. The plot may seem like a typical crime story but it is much more and I liked how the place and the weather play a very important role in the film. It has a lot of suspense, intrigue and an excellent turn at the end.
Renner is impressive as this character acts to which one easily comes to empathize, Olsen seemed very good to me, but totally eclipsed by his partner. Very good direction, photography and a music that makes you skin on edge.
The bad thing is that at times I was a bit dense and Sheridan script has a couple of clicks that we saw in Sicario and Hell or High Water (previous work of this writer).
