Review of Wind River (2017) by Ramon H — 11 Sep 2017
This movie sets itself up in a very simple way: a deceased girl found dead in the middle of the snow, far from where anyone goes. We as the audience, are then tasked to catch the clues, uncovered by a combination of FBI and Parks Wildlife expertise. What is not readily apparent is the intense emotional exposure we must undergo. The acting is superb, the mystery lingering, and the story plot gets darker and darker.
This is one of the few movies that have made my eyes teary, up there with The Pianist and Titanic. If you need a refreshing movie that brings things back down to earth after a crazy summer, this will be it.
