Review of Winchester (2018) by R Q — 09 Feb 2018

The movie was beautifully shot, with good plot and good acting. The discussion that goes on between Sarah and her doctor under pins the creepy ambiance of the movie. Add to that the ambiguity of the paranormal being either real or the fever dreams of our in reliable narrator.

Though it can get a little heavy on the jump scares and the cheesy one liners and the subtlety goes out the window (see the above fever dream) in the third act, the pros out weigh the cons overall.
