Review of Winchester (2018) by Jay D — 02 Feb 2018
If you haven't been to the actual Winchester house (Like most or all the uneducated critics on here) then I advise you to take your a** to the house on a tour and stare outside the "room that goes to nowhere" for a good five minutes and stare down at the ground.
Then follow the stairs that go up to the ceiling and stay there. You'll surely want to slap these pathetic critics who don't know what true terror is. This film stays true to the story of Sarah Winchester and how society thought she went nuts, even to the core of the house: it used to be 7 stories until 1906 happened but, afterwards it continued to be built without the remaining stories by order of Mrs.
Winchester. GO AND VISIT THE HOUSE. That's the only way you can satisfy your curiosity about the hauntings or not. The chandelier is still very much creepy, the 13 nails story is accurate and visible in the house, every room is built differently and yes her doctor was sent to that house that truly scared the lights out of him.
THIS FILM IS NOT FOR MILLENNIALS, KIDS (SAME THING) OR PEOPLE WHO THINK THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT WAS TERRIFYING. DO NOT SEE THIS WITH ANYONE THAT HAS NOT BEEN TO THE HOUSE. IT IS BASED ON A TRUE STORY WITH ACTUAL EVENTS AND IS MEANT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY.
