Review of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971) by George E — 05 Apr 2012

The one thing that has always bothered me (ever since I first saw this movie in college) is that Charlie drunk the coke that made him fly. Therefore, the other kids didn't do anything worse than what he did.

I did have one friend explain to me that the other kids were punished more for their character flaws than for their actions that day; however that is a very non- pragmatic way of looking at it that I can't fully appreciate.
