A classic film with a lot of charm and style. The imagination of this film harkens back to some of the large sets and color of the film recalls Jerry Lewis' "The Ladies Man" and even some of the magnificent sets seem very Lewisesque.
Gene Wilder's performance is a timeless one filled with zany kindness and fun loving snarkiness. The songs are memorable and the characters resonate in one's mind long after the film is over and you keep coming back to it time and time again.
