A very intelligent and very well done film. On terms of acting the kids do a great job portraying there greedy selves. Peter Ostrum handles the lead role very well and Gene Wilder gives a performance to remember.
It is well-directed, well-written, and the sets are amazing. It works as both an escapist family film and as a satire on society itself and its greeds whether it be domestic or in the business world. A brilliant film.
