Sometimes naive yet easy with a taste of fun. I don't think this movie is supposed to resemble to 1964 Mary Poppins but some musical intermediums do look like poorer versions of the latter. I guess this whole magical step through the imagination station with a grand master know it all protagonist always has certain common elements with other movies like this one.
