Review of Wild Strawberries (2012) by Andy G — 03 Mar 2008
This was a really touching film. The technical aspects aren't anything to write home about nowadays, though they were pretty good for the time. But the story really got to me. Sjostrom and Bergman did a great job of showing how a man who has accomplished so much in life has also accomplished nothing at all.
Every single flashback tugged at my emotions, even if I'm nowhere near 78 years old. A good introduction to Bergman for me.
