Review of Wild Strawberries (2012) by Mike J — 08 Jul 2008
This is an incredible film to watch. This single day and the intense introspection of the main character brings about a subtle, but definite change by the end of the film. The imagery and symbolism of the first dream makes for a beautiful tie-in with the rest of the movie.
At the heart of the movie is the question of how one chooses to live: for oneself in isolation and loneliness, or in a vulnerable state, giving oneself to others even if that means pain and conflict.
