Review of Wild Strawberries (2012) by Nikhil R — 05 Sep 2008
It makes all the other films ive seen look so empty and futileâ?¦.
This being my first Ingmar bergman movie, I came into it with gr8 expectations, and trust me it transcended all of them. Judging by just this one movie, I say there canâ??t be a better story teller than this guy.
An aging professor, while on a journey to lund, to receive an honorary award, relives the past in his dreams. These vignettes open his eyes to his cold, stand-offish ways, responsible for his solitude, which he had been in denial of, all this while. But finally he seeks salvation by mending his ways with his daughter in law, his son, and a bunch of strangers he meets on the journey.
