Review of The Verdict (1982) by Nikhil R — 07 Jul 2008
A commonly used plot, the only difference being Paul Newman.Newman plays a down and out former hotshot lawyer, an alcoholic staring at premature retirement but with a perfect case to redeem himself.Things go haywire with the disappearing witnesses...goto get things together but the only thing stopping him is his vulnerability. With everyone squared up against him...the only thing on his side is the truth.
A gripping film with a very balmy climax.
