Review of Wild Strawberries (2012) by Adam K — 03 Apr 2009
Time to begin my foray into the work of the legendary Ingmar Bergman. This was my first of what will be many films seen by Bergman as I thoroughly enjoyed this film. The opening nightmare sequence was hauntingly beautifully flooring and had me hooked.
As it was my first Bergman film I did have notions at times that I wasn't 'getting it', but by the end of the movie I was contemplating my own mortality, maybe not the same way as Isak, as I am not nerely as old, but end of story, I was thinking.
