Review of Wild Strawberries (1957) by V V — 20 Nov 2007
I have no doubts about this being one of the most profound and in the same time flowing films that I.B. made. The first dream sequence is a killer and the rest of the film adds up to it and makes a good, compact 'road movie' that keeps the attention of the viewer intact while a old man's life self-questioning develops.
Great sense of irony (oh, so necessary) is kept throughout the film.
