While watching cable yesterday, I stumbled upon a movie called; "Wild Bill". It's a bio pick about Buffalo Bill Hickock. I didn't know much about him (I do know a little) and I wasn't taught much about Buffalo Bill in school. So, I watched this film with a clean slate. This was an okay film but had the potential to be better especially with such historical figure. The cast was good but the writing could have been better. I wondered though out this film how accurate this film really is or is it a lot of Hollywood hype. Normally my position is generally during a bio pick is as long as it gets you interested learn more about the particular time period or that person then that is what matters but when it's so far off removed then it ruins the picture. This film did get me to want to learn more about his life. So, I guess it did its job. Any way, "Wild Bill" is about (like I said before) Buffalo Bill Hickock and the people who were in his life. This film does have a lot of flash backs to different parts of his life. "Wild Bill" does cover his different battles. This film also covers what made "Buffalo Bill" so wild and his different demons. I would suggest people to see this movie, especially if they are interested in that time period. I?m not sure if the DVD does have any extra features or not because like I?ve said before I saw this on cable. Just guessing since this wasn?t a recent movie, I?d have to say there probable isn?t much of a bonus feature at all. LOL! Please see what you think..
