Review of Wild at Heart (1990) by Wabalicious M — 27 Feb 2008
If you like a man's head to be pulped on a marble floor, catch this surreal oddity from David Lynch. Never shy on tits or blood, it truly is a wonder to behold. See stars like Nicolas Elvis Presley Cage, Jack Nance, and Emmerdale's own Freddie JOnes give unforgettably unhinged performances in a movie that surely must have 2 of the finest pieces of cinematic cranial trauma ever; the aforementioned head/marble floor interface, and Bobby Peru's head (from the upper jaw up), inside a stocking, landing with the nauseating thud of an thousand soiled hankies after being severed by a point-blank shotgun blast.
Masterful.
