Review of Wild at Heart (1990) by Jon P — 24 May 2011
With crisp cinematography, eccentric characters and a resonating soundtrack, David Lynch's wild road movie is remarkably stylish, and incredibly entertaining. Pleasing references to The Wizard Of Oz and Elvis Presley are beautifully woven into the adapted narrative, and the all-star cast give solid performances in unusal roles.
Wild At Heart may not appeal to everyone's tastes, but it remains totally unforgettable, and deserves credit for being remarkably offbeat, yet still heavily enthralling. A must-see for any fans of Lynch's compelling, visionary style.
