Review of Wild at Heart (1990) by Pinche — 13 Aug 2008
This was my first David Lynch film; hell it was the first indie film I ever saw. I was 18 when I saw this, and had never seen anything like this before. I loved how Lynch's attention to the insignificant is consistent throughout this movie.
From the overweight porn making wierdos in the middle of the desert to the man in the bar in New Orleans that sounded like a duck (huh?). Laura Dern and Diane Ladd were brilliant together. Not that they really had to dig deep within their craft; seeing as they are mother and daughter in real life.
Loved this movie. I also loved the speed metal in it as well.
