Review of Wild (2014) by Valerie M — 23 Apr 2015
The story of Cheryl Strayed is impossibly fascinating. A woman trying to get back the the woman her mother wanted her to be through a trek on the Pacific Crest Trail. It seems like it would be boring and dry but this film was hypnotic and irreverent, all carried through the portrayal by Reese Witherspoon and the artful camera direction.
I was surprised by how much I liked this film.
