Review of Wild (2014) by Philip S — 16 May 2015

I greatly prefer the book for its length and focus on the hiking journey, but this was not bad as well--just different. With knowing the context of the book, a lot of the events that occurred throughout the movie seemed kind of rushed through and without a central narrative.

Nevertheless, Reese Witherspoon is great in the lead role and the sure direction ensures a strong effort without any cloying sentimentality.
