Review of Wicked Little Things (2006) by David S — 30 Mar 2008
This was an ok film. One of the things I like about this, "8 Films To Die For," collection is that it gives the little knowns a chance to have their visions shown; and while this movie (or most of the horrerfest movies for that matter) aren't up to par with John Carpenter, Sam Raimi, George Romero and Wes Craven, there are some extremley talented directors rising up for the horror genre and that makes me gleeful.
Now this movie has alot of problems. Way too many "What the fuck do you think you're doing, don't go in there" moments, a mom whose affraid to put her kids in line and ridiculous and unmeaningful transitions from day to night. That being said, those kids are friggin creepy, and I wouldn't step a foot near any of those houses, every building in this movie is creepy, even the store. So there is enough "creep" in this movie to enjoy with friends on a rainy night and still be able to make fun of the dumb things without having to turn the movie off.
