Review of Why We Fight (2005) by Sherri S — 23 Jul 2007
This was an informative and rather disturbing documentary about the almost completely unbridled power of the United States military and its involvement in several facets of American life. The approach used by the filmmakers was interesting in that they showed how the power of our military has increased throughout the 20th century and how our government has increasingly used it to gain greater power over the world rather than for defense purposes.
Unfortunately it appears that there is little that the American people can do in the face of this problem; one that has been growing since the end of World War II at the latest.
