Review of Why Him? (2016) by Logan S — 31 Mar 2017
Why Him? is an enjoyable, if disposable, comedy. Although it too often reaches for the low-hanging fruit, the efforts of its talented cast are more than enough to overcome its more contrived setups. In particular, Bryan Cranston and Megan Mullally shine, and James Franco does his best impression of James Franco.
Those looking for a comedic masterpiece need not apply, but viewers searching for an amiable comedy should be satisfied.
