Black people looooove to watch movies with black people in them. That is one of several reasons you will enjoy this. If you are an African American woman reading this, then I know you have seen this twelve times already.
If you haven't seen it, it is surprisingly good. It being a Tyler Perry film, you can expect that the "villian" of the film is unrealistically cruel and that the "good" people are unrealistically good.
I doubt that Janet will ever win an Oscar, but I've seen her perform better..................but Jill Scott truly surprised me on how well she did. Great film.
