Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Lawrence E — 10 Nov 2007
"Truth or Illusion, don't you know the difference even now?" is as close to a theme line as you'll find. The vicious world of George and Martha is played out for their young guests. The fact that Taylor and Burton were near the end of their marriage makes it all the better.
Edward Albees play, with it's nashing of teeth and destruction of psyche is bomb-shelled onto the audience by the two stars.
