Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Steven O — 08 Feb 2008
Just thought of this movie when reviewing another one.
I love Virginia Woolf; I didn't think I was afraid of her. After watching this movie I changed my mind. I think everyone is afraid of Virginia Woolf.
Elizabeth Taylor is marvellous playing a woman much older than she really is. Richard Burton plays the cool husband, who seems to be a victim in the start; but as the movie progresses, the viewer discovers Burtons true depth and power. Recommended viewing for anyone over 30 :-).
