Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Anna D — 21 Jan 2009
It was on telly the other day. 5th time I saw it, I think..Flawless in every sence. This is a pure work of art. Painful, development amazing..words fail me. To see Richard Burton And Elisabeth Taylor work together is electrifying.
It is cruel, it is painful, it is fantastic and even if my grandmother showed me this when I was 11- I did not understand all the psychology in the pitch black drama, but I was spellbound. She showed the movie because she admired Taylor purely for her looks (and interesting love affairs - this was when Burton was still alive, yeah), this is outstanding in every sence.
Got me inte adoring the profound art of real acting. Splendor in perfection.
