Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Hytham E — 28 Nov 2010
It is a shocking film! Elizabeth Taylor was another human in this compared to her rolls in A Place in the Sun and Giant. She was a bitter old hag and frankly deserved her Academy Award for Best Actress.
Richard Burton delivers a quiet, angry performance that should have also earned him the Best Actor Oscar but alas, only a nomination. Although there is a lot of foul mouth language in this, it is very memorable and very interesting movie.
