Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Paul W — 07 Nov 2012
Welcome to a corrosive hell of a marriage that makes most marriages heavenly by grim comparison. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton are at each others throats like ravenous wolfs the entire film until we (the audience) are as uncomfortable as their tortured and humiliated guests.
A groundbreaking film in its time, and a play I would love to see live on the stage.
