Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Matt K — 24 Apr 2010
Not so much a drama as a surreal horror film. What starts seeming to be a vicious comedy about the passive-aggressive love-hate relationship between a dissatisfied married couple quickly descends into the bowels of hell as the couple (and their guests) drain bottle after bottle of liquor.
That being said, the actors are amazing and the dialogue is fascinating. It'll (hopefully) make you think twice about heavy drinking when you have guests over.
