Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Billy L — 08 Aug 2008
One of my favorite films of all time! The acting, the writing, the cinematography is all perfect! It's hard to explain what I loved about it so much. Liz Taylor is fantastic, and so is Oscar winner Sandy Dennis.
But there is one thing I still cannot believe happened...Richard Burton did NOT win the Oscar! By god, how could the Academy overlook one of the best preformances of all time! Richard WAS George, he got inside his head, and played him to perfection.
I have never enjoyed a preformance more than his. How could they give it to Paul Scofield and his boring preformance. And the fact that Dick never won at all, makes me sick.
