Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Jen U — 02 Jan 2010
A first class film....Mike Nichol's directorial debut.
Taylor & Burton harp, carp & bitch away at each other & then drown their sorrows in a sea of alcohol, preparing for Round 2 of their battle.
Ms Taylor won an Oscar for her brilliant performance, deservedly so. However, I find myself wondering whether or not the two of them had to act very hard given the tumultuous nature of their relationship at the time.
Based on the play by Edward Albee.
