Review of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) by Filmgrinder S — 17 Dec 2011
Its truly gross how good Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton are in this. The movie is so tense and searing that when its over you feel exhausted. And it doesn't play it one note either, the relationship between Burton and Taylor is constantly changing.
George Segal and Sandy Dennis are very good as well, Sandy Dennis playing a drunken emotional wreck without going over the top was a joy to watch.
