Review of Whores' Glory (2011) by Roman R — 20 Oct 2012
A documentary film about prostitution in different parts of the developing world that was shown aspart of Amsterdam's IDF documentary film festival earlier this year. The first segment in Bangladesh is utterly depressing and quite boring in all honesty.
The second part in Mexico is better but still paints a pretty grim picture for the ladies of the night that have been coaxed into it by pimps. Some of those pimps were said to have used black magic and cursed the underwear of unsuspecting village women.
Others had their families and children threatened, whereas some were given false promises and made to believe their pimps were in love with them.
