Review of Who Killed the Electric Car? (2006) by Michael J — 19 Dec 2007
Man, am I angry. Where is my electric car? No really! How dare I not have the choice of buying an electric car!
This movie was extremely enlightening, I learned a lot. I was appalled to find out that various companies (like GM, Toyota, etc.) had these really efficient electric cars that 90% of the population would benefit from using â?? not to mention that the environment would be the biggest winner â?? and then to find out that they destroyed them.
The documentary considers all players and the role they played in death of the electric car and at the end considers each of these players separately as to whether or not they are guilty of murder (so to speak). Most of the documentary resolves around the California 10% electric car requirement (which was sadly ousted).
Clearly the only winners were the oil producers and their share holders. The losers were us and the environment.
This is must see for all involved with sciences (not just environmentalists).
