The blend of live action and animation is state of the art and in my opinion (as evidenced by trite like Alvin and the Chipmunks and The Smurfs) will never be topped. Seeing all your favourite animated characters in one movie with an engrossing plot and wonderful comedy is cinema's loveletter to your childhood!
