Review of Whiteout (2009) by Fascade F — 30 May 2010
Wow, just wow.
Somebody actually green lit this film......
Basically, a murder takes place in Antarctica, nobody knows who did it so the killer is on the loose in the base.....Kate Beckinsale, a US Marshall takes on the case and must discover who did it, blah blah blah blah.......you get the idea.
Its just so bad, it has absolutely zero tension. At no point did I care if anyone lived or died, the bad guys were dull, predictable and it had every single cliche in the book. A disgruntled cop with trust issues, struggling to come to terms with a "new partner" etc etc etc, she can only move on with her life by bringing this person to justice.....yawn.
The most ridiculous part of all though, is that throughout the ferocious -50 weather, Beckinsale manages to have perfect makeup and lipstick and barely notices the cold even when she gets frostbite.
And the ending, don't even get me started on it......
Shit, this film is just pure shit. If you love movies stay away from this monstrosity.
