Review of White Material (2010) by Prodromos T — 21 Nov 2010
Well-made location-real movie about turmoil in an unnamed African country that keeps you hanging for most of the time line but when you're ready for something to be said or shown to bring it all together it cowers in a dark corner and chooses to fade to black leaving you with indifference and dissatisfaction a la Francois Ozon - vague as a substitute for profundity, meander for meaning, irresolute for conviction.
