Review of White Material (2010) by Craig D — 25 Dec 2011

This is a really really really reeeeeally well made film. But the only issue is that I just can't personally sympathize with the main character at all, for she's just dumb, stubborn, and selfish woman who ends up getting caught in the bloodshed because she just doesn't listen to anybody.

I guess her character serves its theme of civil war caused by colonization and racism. But she's just sooooooooo fucking stubborn and dumb... But goddamn, as a film, this is amazing... But I just hate seeing woman being stubborn and dumb.

I like my woman strong and smart.
